
Jeri Sue Plaxco, DO
After graduating from Auburn University, Dr. Plaxco attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences receiving her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2004. She completed a Transitional Internship at the University of Texas at Austin (Brackenridge Hospital) in 2005 and Diagnostic Radiology Residency training at the University of Kentucky in 2009. Dr. Plaxco became board certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology in June 2009. After five fulfilling years in private practice as a general diagnostic radiologist, Dr. Plaxco completed a Breast Imaging Fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in June 2015 gaining subspecialty training in all modalities of Breast Imaging including mammography, tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and breast interventional procedures. Since July 2015, she has worked in private practice focusing primarily on Breast Imaging. It is her greatest professional privilege to serve patients in early detection, diagnosis, staging of breast cancer, and determining benign breast conditions.

Professional Organizations
Dr. Plaxco currently serves as a reviewer for the online medical journal ‘Clinical Imaging’ and has previously served terms on both American College of Radiology and Society of Breast Imaging committees. Her professional interests include high-risk breast lesions, contrast-enhanced mammography, and the diagnosis and management of granulomatous mastopathy. Dr. Plaxco enjoys live music, travel, the outdoors, culinary adventures, and spending time with her family.
